About Sakartvelo Guide
Most of what’s written about Georgia is written in Georgian.
That sounds obvious until you’re a foreigner trying to figure out how to open a bank account here, register a business, or just understand what daily life actually looks like. The information exists. It’s just not in English.
This site is the attempt to fix that.
Why this site exists
I’ve lived in Georgia for 20+ years, speak Georgian fluently, and have spent a long time watching people ask the same questions with nowhere good to go. Friends abroad, newcomers, people thinking about relocating or investing. Sakartvelo Guide is written for them.
What you’ll find here
Guides, tools, and practical information across four areas:

Why anonymous
A pen name, by choice. I’d rather you trust the content than the byline. What I can tell you: 20+ years in the country, mountains to the Black Sea, fully fluent in Georgian. Hopelessly in love with the place.
