Direct Flights to and from Tbilisi by Region

Europe

Europe has the most direct flights to and from Tbilisi by a wide margin. The UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Latvia, Cyprus, Greece, Switzerland, Belarus, and Moldova all have scheduled nonstop connections in both directions. Most are year-round. Stuttgart and Cologne-Bonn are seasonal, winding down in late autumn. Frankfurt and Nice are new additions from August 2026, with Georgian Airways operating both routes.

Middle East

Gulf carriers have been expanding into Georgia steadily since 2022. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait City, and Jeddah all have direct connections to and from Tbilisi, and frequency on most routes has increased over the past two years. Beirut runs a seasonal service through September 2026.

Central Asia

Mostly Air Astana, which connects Tbilisi to Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Atyrau, and Shymkent in both directions. Uzbekistan Airways covers Tashkent. Kazakhstan alone accounts for five direct destinations.

The Caucasus

Yerevan takes 35 minutes each way. Baku is just over an hour. Both run daily or near-daily and are consistently among the cheapest routes to and from Tbilisi.

South Asia

IndiGo flies between Delhi and Tbilisi five times a week, 6 hours 55 minutes nonstop. One of the longest direct routes the airport operates, in either direction.

China

China Southern connects Tbilisi to Urumqi, roughly 4 hours 30 minutes, around 10 flights per week in both directions.

Cheapest Flights to and from Tbilisi

Cheapest flights are obviously the neighbours. Baku and Yerevan are both under $100, under an hour, and have several flights a day in both directions. Good option for a weekend out of Tbilisi, or a quick hop in from either country.

After that, Milan via easyJet. Cheap flights to Tbilisi from Milan start at $72 but book early. January and April are the sweet spot. September and you are paying three times that.

Istanbul deserves a mention. Seventy to eighty flights a week across Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and AJet keeps prices competitive year-round. It is also the most common connection point if you are flying to Tbilisi from somewhere without a direct route.

Antalya rounds out the top five, under $90, useful if you are combining Turkey and Georgia in one trip.

When is the cheapest time to fly to and from Tbilisi?

February, mostly. On 22 of the 31 routes here, February is the cheapest month in both directions. January and November are close behind on most European and Middle Eastern routes.

Summer is expensive. June, July, and August see prices jump 30 to 50 percent above winter levels. Tourism peaks, diaspora travel home, demand goes up. September stays elevated before things cool off in October.

A few exceptions. Tel Aviv peaks in October rather than August, Jewish holiday travel. Delhi is actually cheapest in July, counter-intuitive but Indian outbound demand drops during monsoon season. Abu Dhabi and Dubai peak in December, Gulf winter tourism rather than Georgian summer.

Flexible on dates? January through March gets you the lowest fares on almost every route to and from Tbilisi.

Flights to Georgia: Kutaisi and Batumi

Tbilisi isn’t the only airport in Georgia. If you’re flying from certain European cities, you might actually land cheaper and more conveniently elsewhere.

Kutaisi International Airport, about 220 kilometres west of Tbilisi, is a Wizz Air hub. Direct connections from Budapest, Warsaw, Vienna, Dortmund, and a growing list of other European cities. If you’re heading to western Georgia or don’t mind a transfer, it’s worth checking Kutaisi before defaulting to Tbilisi. Fares are often significantly lower.

Batumi Airport on the Black Sea coast runs seasonal routes in summer, mainly from Russia and a handful of European cities. If the Adjara region is your destination, it’s the obvious choice.

New direct routes to Tbilisi in 2026

Georgian Airways launched Frankfurt and Nice in August 2026, both year-round. Dan Air added Bucharest the same month, the first scheduled commercial connection between Georgia and Romania. Middle East Airlines runs a seasonal Beirut service through September 2026.

These bring Tbilisi’s total direct destinations to over 30, continuing steady network growth that’s accelerated since 2022.
